I am very excited to be teaching 6th grade at St. Francis Xavier School again this year. In addition to Science and Social Studies, I will be teaching Language Arts! I enjoy exploring and studying topics within both Science and Social Studies, and I love to write! We will be spending a lot of time this year writing, especially researching and writing about the amazing topics we will be studying in Science and Social Studies.
ABOUT ME: In May of 2010, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago. This year will be my ninth year teaching as I have previously taught 3rd grade at SFX, and 4th grade at Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph School in Chicago. My goal is to create a classroom where all of my students feel comfortable to learn and grow. Academically, we will explore many new topics and ideas. Socially, I will work to create an environment where the students support one another and celebrate each other’s differences and unique talents. I am a strong supporter of Catholic education. Growing up, I have been a student in the Archdiocese of Chicago’s schools since pre-school, including Divine Infant and Fenwick.
In my spare time, I enjoy singing karaoke, dancing, scrapbooking, and spending time with friends and family.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you this year!
